DAVID MANZANARES
David Manzanares' production career spans three decades. Having worked on over 50 films, from small independent projects to large studio blockbusters in New Mexico, nationally and internationally, David’s emphasis in projects is Film & Television as well as Commercials and Music Videos. David serves as a Producer, 2nd Unit Director, Locations Supervisor/Manager and Locations Scout.
David began his career in New Mexico working on fashion still shoots which forayed into commercials and music videos. He then continued his career into television and film. He served on the Santa Fe Digital Film and Media Commission as a board member. David is a member of DGA and IATSE 480.
David's favorite part of the industry is "ALL of it - being part of a creative and collaborative team where everyone’s contribution is recognized and valued…that is most rewarding”. He works to make each project successful and collaborative, and especially likes to work in New Mexico, his home, with amazing crew, star studded locations and an incredible production base.
David was born and raised in Abiquiu, NM (an hour north of Santa Fe and home to the artist, Georgia O’Keeffe) on a centuries old working ranch. He fell into the industry literally when a team from London wanted to shoot on the family ranch and his career began.
David is also an actor and musician. David's talent can be seen in a myriad of projects (big screen, television and commercials). One of his favorite memories was when he appeared with the late Anthony Bourdain in Parts Unknown - New Mexico, along with his son, Maximiño, and late his father, Herman Manzanares - sharing stories and music over a campfire at Ghost Ranch. Aside from his acting talent, David is a musician as well (Guitar & Vocals). His latin band, Manzanares, has entertained audiences in New Mexico, nationally and internationally. His music is described as a high energy and fiery sound - Nuevo Latino! He composes music and songs for film and TV projects. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and the Recording Academy. David is always ready for the next celluloid adventure!
ANDIE MANZANARES
Andie Manzanares arrived in New Mexico in the early 90’s. She fell in love with Santa Fe and has been here ever since. Originally from New York where she worked for Columbia/Tri-Star Pictures International in Publicity and Promotion, her talent and experience is in Production, Event Production, Marketing and Public Relations. While working as the Sales Director for La Posada de Santa Fe, she met David. She soon joined him in the industry, working with him on various projects, including music videos and commercials. Their son, Maximiño, was born in 2000. Andie spent a lot of time supporting Maximiño’s education and volunteered as president of parent associations at his schools overseeing a multitude of fundraisers and events. Andie also manages David and Maximiño’s music careers. She loves New Mexico and is happy to have amazing and talented crew, access to “take your breath away” locations and a multitude of production resources. She is “blessed to have an amazing team who is dedicated to making projects a success…and we have fun doing it.” Her emphasis in projects is Fashion, Print, Photography and Social Media Campaigns. She serves as Producer, Production Manager & Supervisor, Locations Manager and Locations Scout.
After twenty years in Santa Fe, she and David relocated to the Manzanares family ranch in Abiquiu, NM. Their kiddo, Maximiño, is currently a rising senior at Stanford University.
David and Andie are also the Production Management Team for Ghost Ranch located in Abiquiu, New Mexico.
